The ESC Congress Programme Committee and the ESC Young Cardiovascular Professionals Committee would like to thank all the submitters who have contributed to the Call for Clinical Cases and acknowledge the Clinical Case Reviewing Committee for their essential collaboration and valuable contribution to the clinical case programme.

Important Dates 

  • Early May 2025 – Clinical Case results announcement. A notification email has been sent to each submitter
  • 31 May 2025 – Early fee registration deadline – All case presenters must register to the congress
  • 30 June 2025 - Deadline for the assigned presenters to confirm presentation(s) and submit the related agreement form(s)
  • 1 August 2025 - Deadline for presenters to register and upload presentations. Failure to upload and register to the congress by this deadline will lead to the withdrawal of the clinical case from the scientific programme and all related publications.

Clinical Case Programme

The ESC Young Cardiovascular Professionals Committee will design a practical, educational and interactive programme. All clinical case sessions will be featured in one of the dedicated Clinical Case Corners.

Best Clinical Cases Awards Session

ONLY Available for Presenters under 40 years at the time of presentation, ie born after 1 September 1985- More information on the presentation formats will be sent to the presenters whose case has been accepted after the results announcement.

The four top-rated clinical cases have been selected to be in competition during the Best clinical cases - Awards session.
Presenters will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Originality of the case
  • Case Management
  • Presentation (demonstrating learning points from the case)
  • Answers to questions

Results of the competition will be announced during the Awards Ceremony, Sunday 31 May at 04:15 p.m. in Lecture Room Tallinn. 

Each finalist will receive an Award certificate and a prize - €1,500 for the winner and €800 for each runner-up. Each finalist of the Award session will benefit from a free registration to the congress.

Presenters whose clinical case is selected for presentation in the Award session, will receive specific instructions.

Cases with the European Heart Journal - Case Reports Editors session

Four cases amongst the top-rated ones have been selected by the Editorial Team of the EHJ-CR and will be offered the opportunity to be simultaneously published in the European Heart Journal – Case Reports, free of charge.

Clinical Case Sessions

Presenting your clinical case during ESC Congress 2025 will allow you to give your work worldwide long-term exposure and multinational connections with all subspecialty professionals.

Clinical cases will be presented in highly interactive and educational sessions, that will be moderated by two experts on the topic, who will facilitate interaction with the audience, prompt discussions, and challenge the presenters.

Case presentations will then be featured on ESC 365 - the cardiology knowledge hub
